The Ajayu of the Sacred Lake From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms, with so much warmth from the community; where each inhabitant strived to make my stay unforgettable, sharing their life stories and showing me their local treasures. But their cuisine really won me over, the flavors of their local cuisine were simply spectacular, I have tried things I had never eaten before. Each dish reflected the community's tradition and love for its cuisine. Exploring its surroundings, I marveled at the bird sanctuary, where I was able to observe several types of birds in their natural habitat, Campana Island, it took my breath away with its impressive landscapes and staying and being able to meditate for a moment was really the most gratifying thing for me. . Thank you for such a nice experience.
I had the opportunity to visit Luribay through a 2 day and 1 night tour. Although the travel time was a bit long, it was totally worth it when we reached the place. Luribay is perfect to escape the city and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and mild climate. All activities are very well thought out for community tourism, such as the tour of the Eco Feliz orchard, the vineyards, the wine tasting and the visit to the apiary. The activity that I liked the most was the cooking workshop that we did with the chef Abigail, after a tour of the garden we began to prepare some fresh salads with freshly harvested vegetables. Many thanks to the association of tourist guides in Luribay for organizing this beautiful trip!
My trip to Escoma and Isla Campanario exceeded my expectations. I know many corners of Lake Titicaca but in this place it has been possible to identify and take advantage of the attractions that make it a unique destination. The bird sanctuary is very special; I liked being able to see so many species coexisting peacefully and I never thought I would see so many flamingos in Lake Titicaca! I loved the walk we did on Campanario Island, the view is spectacular and when we sat down to contemplate the view, I could feel all that good energy that the lake transmits. For me it was a very nice moment. And I believe that this experience would not have been the same, if it were not for our guide Miguel; a very warm person, who shows the love he has for his community and manages to convey it in each explanation. I recommend doing this tour and would definitely love to go back!
Getting to know a place as beautiful as Luribay was a fantastic experience, the variety of activities in the place made my visit active and dynamic; I was able to enjoy nature, exquisite food and the cordiality of the local people, thank you Órbita for such a nice experience!
It was the first time I visited the Astucopecha community tourism enterprise located in Escoma - Lake Titicaca and I was pleasantly surprised to find very beautiful landscapes from the other side of the Lake. We carry out very interesting activities such as Flamingo sighting on the Lake! Plus another 20 different types of birds. We also traveled by boat to visit different islands, such as Campanario Island where we did a small trek. In addition, we had the opportunity to meet the local people since we stayed in their homes and they made us feel welcome. I hope to return to Escoma soon!
